Description

Anesthesia induction is the first step of the anesthesia process when general anesthesia is required in the experiment procedure (pain models, electrophysiology, lesions, stereotaxy etc…).

A transparent anesthetizing box is classically used in this process as it provides less stressful conditions for initiating anesthesia and allows a constant observation of the animal for avoiding any accidental overdosing. Anesthesia induction makes easier positioning the animal on the surgery table and connecting it to the nose cone associated with the system providing the level of gas mixture necessary for the maintenance of anesthesia conditions.
