Descripción

Anaesthesia induction is the first step of the anaesthesia process when general aneasthesia is required in the experiment procedure (pain models, electrophysiology, lesions, stereotaxy etc…).

A transparent anaesthetizing box is classically used in this process as it provides less stressful conditions for initiating anesthesia and allows a constant observation of the animal for avoiding any accidental overdosing. Anaesthesia induction makes easier positioning the animal on the surgery table and connecting it to the nose cone associated with the system providing the level of gas mixture necessary for the maintenance of anaesthesia conditions.
